Wentworth Arenas Protocols and Procedures

Updated March 10th, 2022

To our valued Wentworth Arenas family and community,

Wentworth Arenas understands that there is a concern about the COVID-19 virus and the potential impact on all indoor sports programs. We share your concern and have taken measures to prevent the spread of this illness. Health and Safety are our priority in establishing the guidelines in our return to play. During all phases of the Road Map to Reopen, a spirit of ongoing patience and flexibility will need to be communicated between the user and the facility. Positive interaction will be greatly increased with recognition and understanding of the ongoing changes.

It is vital that we all be calm and compassionate throughout this pandemic. Any person who exhibits any aggression towards staff or any other person in our facility will be asked to leave and not return.

**NEW**

The Government of Ontario announced on March 9, 2022 that it is relaxing public health measures, in response to the recent status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of those changes, effective Mar. 21, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. the Government of Ontario will remove the masking requirements for sport and recreational fitness facilities.

Since the onset of the pandemic, we have been committed to following the directions provided by our public health authorities. As of Mar. 21, 2022, Wentworth Arenas participants and visitors will no longer be required to wear masks while in the facility.

Individuals are encouraged to exercise personal choice and assess their own level of risk and comfort as it relates to mask wearing.

While masks are no longer required, public health officials continue to remind our communities that masks are an added layer of protection from COVID-19 and other airborne illnesses, particularly in indoor settings.

Wentworth Arenas is a safe space for all. We want to reinforce our commitment to respect the personal choice of all our participants and visitors as we continue to see the lifting of pandemic restrictions.
